Aragon has 8 unique missions. They revolve around Aragon’s claims in the Mediterranean.

Navarra

Vassalise Navarra

Both the Kingdoms of Castile and France cast envious eyes on the lands of Navarre. It would be disastrous to Aragon if these lands fell to either of them so we must be proactive.
Type:
  • Country

Acquisition conditions:
  • is not a vassal.
  • is not a junior partner in a personal union.
  • Navarra:
    • is not a vassal.
    • is not a junior partner in a personal union.
    • is a neighbour of Aragon.
    • has less cities than Aragon.
Acquisition chance:
  • Base weight: 1000
    • has relations of less than 0 with Navarra: ×2
Temporary effects:

Subjugation of Navarra - casus belli
for 10 years


Success conditions:
  • Navarra is a vassal of Aragon.
Failure conditions:
  • At least one of the following must be true:
    • is a vassal.
    • is a junior partner in a personal union.
    • Navarra does not exist.
    • Navarra is a vassal.
    • Navarra is a junior partner in a personal union.

Our right to Sardinia

The Holy Father granted James the Just[1] the Kingdom of Sardinia in 1297. We have never forgotten this generous gift and it is time to claim what is ours.
Type:
  • Country

Acquisition conditions:
  • is not a vassal.
  • is not a junior partner in a personal union.
  • Navarra is a vassal of Aragon.
  • does not own the province Sardinia (127).
  • Sardinia (127) is a core province of Aragon.
  • The owner of Sardinia (127) is not an ally of Aragon.
Acquisition chance: Temporary effects:
  • None

Success conditions:
  • owns Sardinia (127).
Failure conditions:
  • At least one of the following must be true:
    • is a vassal.
    • is a junior partner in a personal union.
    • An ally of Aragon owns Sardinia (127).

Sicily

Conquer Sicily

Ever since Peter III[2] drove the Duke of Anjou out of Sicily, the Kingdom has been in our eyes a rightful part of Aragon. It is time now to reassert those rights.
Type:
  • Country

Acquisition conditions: Acquisition chance: Temporary effects:
  • Conquest of Palermo - casus belli
  • Conquest of Messina - casus belli
  • Conquest of Malta - casus belli

Success conditions:
  • Sicily does not exist.
  • owns Palermo (125), Messina (124) and Malta (126).
Failure conditions:
  • At least one of the following must be true:
    • is a vassal.
    • is a junior partner in a personal union.
    • Sicily does not exist.
    • has a royal marriage with Sicily.
    • has an alliance with Sicily.

Reward:


Annex Sicily

Ever since Peter III.[2] drove the Duke of Anjou out of Sicily, the Kingdom has been in our eyes a rightful part of Aragon. It is time now to reassert those rights.
Type:
  • Country

Acquisition conditions: Acquisition chance:
  • Base weight: 1000
    • has relations of at least 100 with Sicily: ×2
    • has relations of at least 200 with Sicily: ×2
Temporary effects:
  • None

Success conditions:
  • Sicily does not exist.
  • owns Palermo (125).
Failure conditions:
  • At least one of the following must be true:
    • is a vassal.
    • is a junior partner in a personal union.
    • is not in the same religious group as Sicily.
    • Sicily does not exist.

Naples

Conquer Naples

Rashly the King of Naples continues to insist that he is the true King of Scilly. This is unacceptable to us so Naples must be conquered.
Type:
  • Country

Acquisition conditions: Acquisition chance: Temporary effects:
  • Conquest of Napoli - casus belli
  • Conquest of Abruzzi - casus belli
  • Conquest of Apulia - casus belli
  • Conquest of Calabria - casus belli

Success conditions:
  • Naples does not exist.
  • owns Napoli (121), Abruzzi (120), Apulia (122) and Calabria (123).
Failure conditions:
  • At least one of the following must be true:
    • is a vassal.
    • is a junior partner in a personal union.
    • Naples does not exist.

Reward:


Annex Naples

Although the King of Naples has wisely accepted our overlordship, his continuing independence is no longer desirable. Type:
  • Country

Acquisition conditions: Acquisition chance:
  • Base weight: 1000
    • has relations of at least 100 with Naples: ×2
    • has relations of at least 200 with Naples: ×2
Temporary effects:
  • None

Success conditions:
  • Naples does not exist.
  • owns Napoli (121).
Failure conditions:
  • At least one of the following must be true:

Others

Defeat Saruhan

Saruhan[3] sounds a lot like a threat to the Lords of the West. If Aragon is ever to fulfill their destiny Saruhan must be defeated. Type:
  • Country

Acquisition conditions:
  • is not a vassal.
  • is not a junior partner in a personal union.
  • owns the provinces Napoli (121), Palermo (125) and Sardinia (127).
  • does not own the province Gonder (1224).
  • Saruhan owns the province Smyrna (318).
Acquisition chance: Temporary effects:

Success conditions:
  • owns Smyrna (318).
  • Saruhan does not exist.
Failure conditions:
  • At least one of the following must be true:
    • is a vassal.
    • is a junior partner in a personal union.
    • Saruhan does not exist.
    • Saruhan does not own Smyrna (318).

Become King of Gonder

It is Aragon’s Destiny to become King of Gonder[4]. Now that we have finally figured out where it is, we should do something about this. Make Gonder Aragon’s as we cannot escape our destiny. Type:

Acquisition conditions:
  • is not a vassal.
  • is not a junior partner in a personal union.
  • has discovered the province Gonder (1224).
  • does not own Gonder (1224).
Acquisition chance: Temporary effects:

Success conditions:
  • owns Gonder (1224).
Failure conditions:
  • At least one of the following must be true:
    • is a vassal.
    • is a junior partner in a personal union.

Divine Wind 5.1

Conquer Sicily

Success conditions:
  • Sicily does not exist.
  • owns Palermo (125).
Failure conditions:
  • At least one of the following must be true:
    • is a vassal.
    • is a junior partner in a personal union.
    • Sicily does not exist.
    • has a royal marriage with Sicily.
    • has an alliance with Sicily.

Reward:
  • Prestige: +5
  • Palermo (125) becomes core province of Aragon.


Conquer Naples
