Domestic Military interface
The Domestic Military interface screen is found on the fourth tab of the Domestic Management interface. This screen shows the player's preferred unit types and the number of regiments the player has. At the bottom of the window is an overview of land and naval force size, force limits, and morale. The sliders at the bottom can be used to set maintenance.
The current Military Technology group is shown at the top of the tab, it may be different from the current Technology group in the Domestic Economy tab due to Westernisation decisions. Each unit type can be changed to a preferred unit to suit a certain style. An defender may look for high defensive shock and morale scores to prevent their units fleeing. Upon attaining a new technology level it may be possible to upgrade units.
The Naval units within EU3 do not change as the Land units do with technology group however the time that they are developled is dependant on research rate. Ships do not get upgraded with new technology levels and it is entirely possible to be fielding Carracks at the end of the game however they will be extremely vulnerable to damage from newer ships.
The current war exhaustion value is shown in the middle of the tab and is discussed in detail in War Exhaustion.
Morale and Maintenance
The morale and Maintenance for both land and navl units is shown at the base of the tab where the sldiers can be used to reduce military costs. Full maintenance is recommended in wars or when dealing with large numbers of rebels but savings can be made during periods of peace.
