England has many unique missions - military, trade related, exploration and colonization missions. Most of these missions are also for Great Britain (note the flags).

Conquest missions

Conquer Ireland

The Irish are incapable of governing themselves, for the good of England and Ireland we must give them sound government.
Type:
  • Country

Acquisition conditions:
  • is not a vassal.
  • is not a junior partner in a personal union.
  • does not own 1 of the provinces Ulster (372), Leinster (374), Munster (375) and Connaught (376).
Acquisition chance:
  • Base weight: 1000
  • Ruler’s military skill is at least 7: ×2
  • Ruler’s military skill is at least 8: ×2
Temporary effects:
  • Conquest of Ulster - casus belli
  • Conquest of Meath - casus belli
  • Conquest of Leinster - casus belli
  • Conquest of Munster - casus belli
  • Conquest of Connaught - casus belli

Success conditions:
  • owns Ulster (372), Meath (373), Leinster (374), Munster (375) and Connaught (376).
Failure conditions:
  • At least one of the following must be true:
    • is a vassal.
    • is a junior partner in a personal union.

Reward:
  • Ulster (372), Meath (373), Leinster (374), Munster (375) and Connaught (376) become core provinces.


Conquer Scotland

Edward I[1], Scottorum malleus[2], saw the wisdom of securing our Kingdom by subjugating the Scots. We must do the same.
Type:
  • Country

Acquisition conditions:
  • is not a vassal.
  • is not a junior partner in a personal union.
  • It’s at least 1603 A.D..
  • does not own any provinces in the Scotish Highlands and Lowlands.
  • Scotland:
    • is not a junior partner in a personal union.
    • is not a vassal of England or Great Britain.
  • has relations of less than 50 with Scotland.
Acquisition chance:
  • Base weight: 1000
  • Ruler’s military skill is at least 7: ×2
  • Ruler’s military skill is at least 8: ×2
Temporary effects:
  • Conquest of all provinces of the Lowlands - casus belli

Success conditions:
  • owns at least 1 province in the Lowlands.
  • owns at least 1 province in the Highlands.
Failure conditions:
  • At least one of the following must be true:
    • is a vassal.

The Scottish Kingdom is a perennial problem, their tendency to ally with France and make mischief on the northern frontier is becoming troublesome. We must ensure that the Scottish Lords pursue a more pro-English line.

We have heard talk that our fishermen, who sail far out into the Ocean in pursuit of Cod, have sighted land. We must see what land we can newly find.

Success conditions:
  • has discovered a province of eastern North America.
  • has a ship in at least one of the following Sea provinces: Bay of Fundy (1492), Strait of Belle Isle (1493), Fortune Bay (1494), Notre Dame Bay (1495), Massachusetts Bay (1499), Chesapeake Bay (1500) and Cape Hatteras (1501).
Failure conditions:
  • At least one of the following must be true:
    • does not have the national idea: Quest for the New World.
    • does not have a port.

Reward:


Establish a colony in North America.

The lands of North America seem suitable for many things. In the north we have heard talk of furs and shipbuilding materials. In the South the land looks suitable for growing of many crops. We must establish a base there so we can profit.

There has been much talk of wealth islands in the West Indies. Parliament is lobbing the crown to underwrite and expedition to establish the truth of these claims.

  • has a ship in at least one of the following Sea provinces: Sea of Sargassos (1504), Windward Islands (1522), Lesser Antilles (1523), Turks & Caicos Sea (1524) and Coast of Hispaniola (1526).
Failure conditions:
  • At least one of the following must be true:
    • does not have a port.
    • does not have the national idea: Quest for the New World.

Colonise the Caribbean

The islands of the Caribbean offer the opportunities for wealth for the gentleman with the will to acquire them and the labour to exploit them We have exactly those types of gentlemen.

  • has discovered at least 1 empty province within colonial range in the Caribbean.
  • does not own a province in the Caribbean.

Honourable Gentlemen from The Company of Merchants of London Trading into the East Indies[3] have asked for the crown to support their effort. If some lands were acquired to act as bases for the company’s trading activities it could bring useful revenues to the crown.

  • does not have a merchant placed at a CoT located at the Indian coast.
