Divine Wind

Description

The Dutch are emerging as one of Europe's most capable naval and colonial powers. Lucrative trade opportunities, locally and overseas, have resulted in a swift evolution for the country into one of the first capitalist countries in the world.

Requirements

  • The Netherlands must not exist.
  • You can not be either the Papal States or the Holy Roman Empire.
  • Primary culture must be Dutch or Flemish.
  • You must own and have cores on Zeeland, Holland, Utrecht and Friesland.
  • You must be at peace.

Effects

  • Change your country to Netherlands.
  • Grant cores on Vlaanderen, Breda, Zeeland, Holland, Utrecht, Gelre, Friesland, Limburg and Antwerp.
  • Gain two points toward centralization.
  • Gain 1 merchant.
  • Gain 5 prestige.
  • Gain +1 base tax in a random owned Dutch or Flemish-culture province.

In Nomine

Requirements

To take this decision:

  • Netherlands must not already exist and you may not be the Papal State.
  • Primary culture must be Dutch or Flemish.
  • You must own and have core on Zeeland, Holland, Utrecht and Friesland.

  • Change your country to Netherlands.
  • Grant cores on Vlaanderen, Breda, Zeeland, Holland, Utrecht, Gelre, Friesland, Limburg and Antwerp.
  • Gain +1 base tax in a random owned Dutch or Flemish-culture province.
  • Gain two points toward centralization.
  • Gain +5 prestige.
  • Gain +1 merchant.

EU3 and Napoleon's Ambition

This map shows both the required provinces and the optional ones needed to decrease the MTTH. The capital provinces of those countries with the correct national culture to receive the event are marked with a star.

This is an event that lets one change one's country name to Netherlands.

The following conditions must be met for the event to fire:

  • Netherlands must not already exist.
  • One must not have declined the event previously.
  • One must have either Dutch or Flemish as primary culture.
  • One must own these provinces: Zeeland, Holland, Utrecht and Friesland.
  • One must not be at war.

The mean time to happen for this event is 216 months.

  • For each of these provinces owned the MTTH is decreased by 20%: Gelre, Breda, Vlaanderen.
  • The Bureaucracy national idea decreases the MTTH by 20%.
  • Centralization steps 2, 3 and 4 decrease the MTTH by 10% each. (30% total)
  • Decentralization steps 2, 3 and 4 increase the MTTH by 10% each. (30% total)

You receive cores on the following provinces:

  • Vlaanderen, Breda, Zeeland, Holland, Utrecht, Gelre and Friesland.

You also receive the following when you become Netherlands:

  • Gain 1 Merchant.
  • Gain 5 Prestige.
  • Gain 1 base tax in a random province you own.
  • Move 2 towards Centralization.

If you decline to become Netherlands:

  • Move 2 towards Decentralization.
  • Lose 1 base tax in a random province you own.
