Land technology

In HTTT, it is now possible for countries that westernized to also modernize their military unit types. Military modernization decisions appear after westernization.

In IN, the units available to you to build are dependent on the original Technology group of a province's core. For example, should Ming reach land Technology 13 they cannot train landsknechten infantry in Jiangsu. Latin Technology group states will eventually end with the best infantry, cavalry, and artillery. Eastern and Chinese cavalry remains competitive for much of the game, but their infantry does not. Indian units are generally mediocre, but not as poor as African and New World units.

The sprite level indicates the Technology level where army sprites get uniform and weapon updates.
