Hindustan is a major nation in the Indian subcontinent which must be unified by decision. Despite its name, Muslim nations can form Hindustan as well, although some players may not like it (you can always change the name of the nation in the localisation files, change the religion of the nation in the history countries folder, or just not do it as Muslim nations).

Divine Wind Strategy

When you form Hindustan, it is expected that the date will be between 1500 and 1600 unless you start as Delhi at the start of the grand campaign, the easiest option once you pay off the hordes (though your economy may be trashed,) who only has to wait to conquer gain a core on province of Gondwana. Forming Hindustan grants a massive number of cores on the subcontinent, and these should be brought to Hindustan before they're lost. After this good expansion points would be fighting the Timurids further, attacking South-East Asia or East Africa. Of these, you will only have superior troops to East African nations. You could even expand northwards into China.

If you haven't already, you need to westernize.
