The following missions are uniquely available to Poland.

Military missions

Recover Danzig

At the Treaty of Kaslisz we agreed that the area around Danzig would be held by the Teutonic order under the Polish crown. Recently they have been negligent in their duties so we must recover what is ours by right. 		Type:

Conquest of Danzig - casus belli

Success conditions:
  • is not at war with the Teutonic Order.
  • owns Danzig (43).
 Failure conditions:
  • At least one of the following must be true:
    • is a vassal.

Conquer Warmia

The lands of Warmia were Christianised by the Teutonic knight with the understanding that they would be subject to the Polish Crown. The knights were quick to disavow this, but even though several hundred years have passed we have not forgotten what should be ours. 		Type:

Conquest of Warmia - casus belli

Success conditions:
  • is not at war with Teutonic Order.
  • owns Warmia (42).
 Failure conditions:
  • At least one of the following must be true:
    • is a vassal.

Conquer Smolensk

The great fortress of Smolensk is the gateway to Lithuania. For us to protect the commonwealth we must have that fortress. 		Type:
  • Country

  • is not at war with Russia.
  • owns Smolensk (293).
 Failure conditions:
  • At least one of the following must be true:
    • is a vassal.

Retake Minsk

The Russian have taken Minks, this fortress cannot be allowed to remain in their hand. It must be recaptured. 		Type:

Throw back the Turk

The Turk has advanced into the southern parts of the Commonwealth. We cannot allow this and must drive them back. 		Type:

  • owns Podolia (281).

Defend the western border

Prussia has cowardly attacked us, me must not concede an inch of Polish soil to them. 		Type:
  • Country
Acquisition conditions:
  • owns the provinces: Poznan (254), Kalisz (255), Sieradz (258) and Sandomierz (259).
  • It’s 1750 or later.
  • Prussia is at war with Poland.

Relations with Mazovia

The decision by King Boleslaw III to divide Poland amongst his sons heralded a long period of fragmentation for the Polish Kingdom. Although Poland is now largely reunited the Duchy of Mazovia still remains independent, we should improve relations with them. 		Type:

The Duchy of Mazovia needs to be returned back the Polish fold. It is essential that the Duke once again recognises the suzerainty of the Polish Crown. 		Type:

With the death of the last royal Piast, Casimir the great, Poland's policy has been to seek strong dynastic ties with Lithuania. Recently these have been allowed to slip, we must renew them again. 		Type:

Lithuania has been in relative decline, compared to Poland. It is time to bring them into to closer union with Poland for our own, as well as their, security. 		Type:

Poland and Lithuania have enjoyed close ties for many years. Now the nobility are calling for the Union of Lublin, to bring the two nations together into one commonwealth. 		Type:

Remind the Knights of their duty

The Teutonic knights were originally invited into Prussia at the request of the Polish Kingdom. Since then they have turned into a problem, the knight must recognise that these lands are a lawful part of Poland. 		Type:

Fortify the southern border

The Habsburgs are menacingly close to our southern border. Must improve the fortifications there to protect Poland. 		Type:

  • owns Ruthenia (261) and Kraków (262).
  • It’s 1750 or later.
  • At least one of the following must be true:
    • Ruthenia (261) has a fort of less than level 3.
    • Kraków (262) has a fort of less than level 3.
  • Austria is a neighbour of Poland.

    • has relations of less than 0 with Austria: ×2

Success conditions:
  • Ruthenia (261) has a fort of at least level 3.
