The Strategic resource bonus is a feature introduced in the Divine Wind expansion. Trading in CoTs totalling at least 33% of the world supply of a resource will grant a bonus as shown in the table below.

Wool Ship cost: –10%
Cloth Mercenary Maintenance: –25%
Fish National revolt risk: –1%
Fur Prestige: +1% yearly
Salt Land maintenance cost: –10%
Naval Supplies Naval force limit: +25%
New World resources
Coffee Fort defense: +10%
Cotton Colonist chance: +25%
Sugar Maximum war exhaustion: –2
Tobacco Spy defense: +25%
Metals
Copper Recruitment time: –10%
Gold None
Iron Regiment cost: –10%
Eastern resources
Tea Advisor cost: –33%
Chinaware Legitimacy: +5% yearly
Spices Spy costs: –33%
African resources
Slaves Tariffs: +25%
