Trading missions should help to improve trade.

Gain trade post in China

Our merchants have a need for control of the china trade. We need to make sure we control at least one province in Asia producing chinaware. Type:
  • Country

Acquisition conditions:
  • is not at war.
  • is European.
  • has at least 6 ports.
  • does not own a chinaware producing province.
Acquisition chance: Temporary effects:
  • None

Success conditions:
  • owns at least 1 chinaware producing province.
Failure conditions:
  • does not have a port.

Reward:


Increase our control of the spice

We are bringing in rich cargos of spice from our overseas empire, but our people want more. We must increase our number of spice producing provinces. Type:
  • Country

Acquisition conditions:
  • is not at war.
  • is European.
  • has at least 3 ports.
  • owns at least 1 spice producing province.
  • owns less than 3 spice producing provinces.
Acquisition chance: Temporary effects:
  • None

Success conditions:
  • owns at least 3 spice producing provinces.
Failure conditions:
  • does not have a port.

Reward:


Force open trade in $PROVINCENAME$.

Our merchants are denied access to the trade centre of $PROVINCENAME$. Use diplomacy or war to open it so our merchants can profit. Type:
  • All centers of trade

Acquisition conditions:
  • is not at war.
  • has at least 5 ports.
  • has at least 5 big ships.
  • has discovered target CoT province.
  • does not own target CoT province.
  • does not have a merchant at target CoT.
  • Target CoT is within the trade range of this country.
  • The owner of the target CoT province:
  • At least one of the following must be true:
    • has a trade income of at least 30%.
    • has at least 100 Ducats.png monthly income.
Acquisition chance: Temporary effects:
  • None

Success conditions:
  • has at least 5 merchants at target CoT.
Failure conditions:
  • At least one of the following must be true:
    • The target CoT does not exist.
    • owns the target CoT province.

Reward:


Establish trade in $PROVINCENAME$.

Our merchants believe that they are missing out on trading opportunities in $PROVINCENAME$. They are asking for state support to ensure that our nation sees the benefits. Type:
  • All centers of trade

Acquisition conditions:
  • is not at war.
  • has at least 1 merchant.
  • has discovered target CoT province.
  • has a trade income of at least 1%.
  • does not have a merchant at target CoT.
  • Target CoT is within the trade range of this country.
  • The owner of the target CoT province:
  • This mission was not the last mission of this country.
Acquisition chance: Temporary effects:
  • None

Success conditions:
  • has at least 5 merchants at target CoT.
Failure conditions:
  • At least one of the following must be true:
    • The target CoT does not exist.
    • The owner of the target CoT province has an embargo against this country.

Reward:


Monopolize $PROVINCENAME$

Our merchants feel that the state should support their activities in $PROVINCENAME$ more. They believe that once a monopoly is established their position will be secure. Type:
  • All centers of trade

Acquisition conditions:
  • is not at war.
  • has at least 1 merchant.
  • has discovered target CoT province.
  • has at least 1 merchant at target CoT.
  • does not have a monopoly at target CoT.
  • has at least trade technology 15 (allows monopoly).
  • At least one of the following must be true:
    • has a trade income of at least 30%.
    • has at least 100 Ducats.png monthly income.
  • The owner of the CoT has mercantilism vs. free trade of at least 0.
Acquisition chance: Temporary effects:
  • None

Success conditions:
  • has a monopoly at target CoT.
Failure conditions:
  • The target CoT does not exist.

Gain more monopolies

While we have already established one trading monopoly our merchants believe that this is not enough, I second monopoly is required to ensure our trading position. Type:

Success conditions:
  • has at least three monopolies.
Failure conditions:
  • None

Dominate the world trade

To guarantee our dominant trading position we must establish further trading monopolies to ensure that no one can compete with our merchants. Type:

  • None

Success conditions:
  • has 6 monopolies.
Failure conditions:
  • None

Reward:


Rely more on trade income

Our merchants feel that our country does not support trade, as it should. So they are demanding that we increase the amount of income that we derive from trade. Type:
  • Country

Acquisition conditions:
  • is not at war.
  • has a trade income of at least 20%.
  • has a trade income of less than 25%.
  • This mission was not the last mission of this country.

Success conditions:
  • has a trade income of at least 30%.
Failure conditions:
  • None
