Unite Japan

Unite Japan is a country decision.

This decision can be found in JapaneseNation.txt.

There are two distinct ways to unite Japan, one for a daimyo that is the Shogun, and one for non-shogun daimyos.

Shogun

Description

The time has come to unite Japan!

Requirements

  • Country is a Daimyo
  • Country is the Shogun
  • Japan has not been united before
  • Country is not Japan
  • At Peace
  • There is only a single Daimyo left

Effects

  • All daimyo cores are removed from Japan
  • Inherit Japan (the Kyoto OPM)
  • Country changes to Japan
  • Kyoto becomes the capital
  • Receive cores on all of Japan
  • +15 prestige
  • Get the country modifier United Japan for 1 year, giving:
  • Lose the country modifier Sankin Kotai

Non-shogun

Description

The time has come to bring down the shogun and unite Japan under a strong Emperor!

Requirements

  • Country is a Daimyo
  • Country is not the Shogun
  • Japan has not been united before
  • Country is not Japan
  • There are no more than 2 Daimyos left
  • Be at war with the Shogun's Daimyo, and fully occupy his country

Effects

  • All daimyo cores are removed from Japan
  • Inherit Japan (the Kyoto OPM) and the other remaining Daimyo
  • Country changes to Japan
  • Kyoto becomes the capital
  • Receive cores on all of Japan
  • +20 prestige
  • Get the country modifier United Japan for 1 year, giving:
  • Lose the country modifier Sankin Kotai
