The Mongol Invasion mod was created by Seboden.
The mod is not a historically correct or even historically plausible, because it is not set in the 14th century, but in the EU3 time frame and simply asks what would happen if the Mongols became the unstoppable super warriors of a few centuries before.
To do this, a new technology group was created for the Mongols, with unique and very powerful units. In addition a triggered modifier is introduced for this tech group which gives all kinds of crazy bonuses. So in effect the Mongol Khanate (KHA) which starts with 4 provinces should have an easy time to conquer the world.
The modification was made for two main reasons First, to see if he AI could use these bonuses competently and really start conquering the world. (To encourage them, they are given cores on the neighboring provinces) Second, to provide the player (who may play, for example, in Europe) with an ultimate end game challenge, when the Mongols come knocking on your door.
It is not recommended to play as Mongol Khanate as it will probably be far too easy for the player.
