The Prussian Nation can be formed by three different decisions depending on who you start as, with slightly different results.

Brandenburg: Form Kingdom of Prussia

Description

There is only one king in the Empire, the king of Bohemia. At the same time our lands in Prussia are not a historic part of the Empire, let us declare ourselves King in Prussia to reflect our grander status than the other electors.

Requirements

  • Prussia does not already exist
  • Your religion is either Protestant or Reformed
  • You own Ostpreussen and either Danzig or Hinterpommern
  • Ruler must have a diplomatic skill of 7 or more
  • Prestige must be 20 or more
  • You must be at peace

Effects

  • Gain 1 centralization
  • Gain 2 prestige
  • Capital becomes Prussian culture
  • The primary culture becomes Prussian
  • The name, flag and color of your nation changes
  • You gain cores on Ostpreussen, Warmia, Danzig and Memel

Teutonic Order: Reform into Prussia

Description

The age of crusading knights is fading fast. There will come a time when we no longer stand to gain by holding on to the trappings of a monastic order. Besides, the Grandmaster would much rather be a Duke... or King. By reforming into a secular state, we can revitalize our administration and gain the respect of our neighbors.

Requirements

  • Country is the Teutonic Order
  • Prussia does not already exist
  • The reformation has begun (Protestant exists)
  • Own Ostpreussen
  • Be at peace

Effects

  • A random province will gain 1 base tax
  • Gain 1 centralization
  • Gain 3 prestige
  • The name, flag and color of your nation changes
  • You gain cores on Ostpreussen, Warmia, Danzig, Memel, Kurland and Samogitia
  • Your government will change to Feudal Monarchy for free
  • Your capital will move to Ostpreussen for free

Any other nation: Reform into Prussia

With a Cultural shift, most other nations can form Prussia.

Description

The territories once conquered and Germanized by the Teutonic Order will always need protection against rapacious neighbors. Should the Order fail in this duty, we can take their place and usher in a new era of prosperity and Prussian discipline.

Requirements

  • Prussia does not already exist
  • Primary culture is Saxon or Pommeranian (IN.gif/HTTT.png)
  • Primary culture is Saxon or Pommeranian or Prussian (DW.png)
  • You are not Germany (but Germany can exist)
  • You are not Brandenburg
  • You are not the HRE (HTTT.png/DW.png)
  • The reformation has begun
  • You own and have a core on Ostpreussen, Warmia and Danzig
  • You must be at peace

Effects

  • A random province will gain 1 base tax
  • Gain 1 centralization
  • Gain 5 prestige
  • The name, flag and color of your nation changes
  • The primary culture becomes Prussian
  • Gain cores on Ostpreussen, Warmia, Danzig, Memel, Kurland and Samogitia
  • Capital becomes Prussian culture
  • A random province with Saxon or Pommeranian culture which is not your capital will become Prussian culture
